Ardeshir Bayat (MBBS PhD) is a Clinician Scientist with a tenured faculty position (Senior Associate Professor) at the University of Manchester, England, UK. He leads a translational research group with an international reputation in wound healing, skin scarring and keloid pathobiology. He has made an impact in his field with bridging science and technology from bench to bedside by introducing innovative techniques and technology, enhancing tissue repair as well as novel ways of reducing cutaneous fibrosis. He has published extensively (H index, 49) with more than 400 published original manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters. He and his team have given more than 500 national and international podium and poster presentations. He acts as an international grant reviewer, sits on wound repair and regeneration editorial board and is an associate editor for several journals. He is an elected member and sits on the boards of the American Wound Healing Foundation, and Global Scar Society.
